Is Your Health Plan Ready for Price Transparency Requirements?
The goal of the CMS Transparency in Coverage rule is to help consumers understand the cost of a covered item or service before receiving care.
Beginning July 1, health plans will be required to begin posting pricing information for covered items and services. The rule consists of three phases:

Phase 2: January 1, 2023

Phase 3: January 1, 2024
Provide Internet-based price comparison tool with an individual’s cost estimate for all items and services
